শিক্ষার্থী বন্ধুরা, তোমরা কেমন আছ? নিশ্চয় ভালো আছ। বিশ্ব এক প্রাণঘাতি ভাইরাসের কারণে দুর্যোগ মুহূর্ত পার করছে। তোমাদের নিয়মিত ক্লাস স্থগিত হলেও সংসদ বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশনে নিয়মিত ক্লাস পরিচালনা করা হচ্ছে। এই সময়টাতে ঘরে বসে চর্চা করবে। স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে চলবে। অনুশীলন পাতায় নিয়মিত চোখ রাখবে। আজ আমি তোমাদের সাথে Comparison of Adjectives (Degree) করার নিয়ম সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করবো। তাহলে শুরু করা যাক।

Superlative Degree থেকে Comparative Degree- তে পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।

Rule 1: Subject + verb + Superlative- এর Comparative রূপ + than any other + বাক্যের বাকি অংশ।

Superlative: She is the most active member of the group.

Comparative: She is more active than any other member of the group.

Note: যদি of all থাকে, of all- এর বদলে than all other এবং of any থাকে, of any-এর বদলে than any other বসে।

Superlative: Sajid is the most honest of all men.

Comparative: Sajid is more honest than all other men.

Superlative: Akbar was the greatest of anykings in India.

Comparative: Akbar wasgreaterthan any otherkings in India.

Rule 2: Superlative Degree- তে one of the থাকলে Comparative degree-তে পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম:

Subject + verb + Superlative- এর Comparative রূপ+ than most other + বাক্যের বাকি অংশ।

Superlative: Borno is one of the most brilliant students in the class.

Comparative: Borno is more brilliant than most other students in the class.

Positive Degree থেকে Comparative Degree- তে পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম :

Rule 1: Positive Degree- তে no other থাকলে Comparative degree- তে পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম:

মূল বাক্যের শেষের subject + Verb + Positive degree- এর Comparative degree + than any other + No other-এরপর থেকে verb- এর আগে পর্যন্ত।

Positive: No other student in the class is as brilliant as him.

Comparative: He is more brilliant than any other student in the class.
