সুপ্রিয় শিক্ষার্থী বন্ধুরা, আশা করি সবাই ভালো। তোমরা অনেকেই Transformation of Sentence নিয়ে লেখা প্রকাশের জন্য চিঠি এবং E-mail এর মাধ্যমে অনুরোধ করেছ। তোমাদের অনুরোধে সাড়া দিয়ে আজ Transformation of Sentence নিয়ে একটি লেখা প্রকাশ করা হলো।

TRANSFORMATION OF SENTENCE:

Transformation of Sentence এর Practice বা Exercise করার পূর্বে আমাদের জানা প্রয়োজন Transformation of Sentence কী? অর্থের পরিবর্তন না ঘটিয়ে একটি Sentence কে অন্য একটি Sentence এ রূপান্তর বা পরিবর্তন কে Transformation of Sentence বলে। যেমন:

Affirmative: The girl is beautiful.  (মেয়েটি সুন্দরী) Negative: The girl is not ugly. ( মেয়েটি কুিসত নয়)

Note: এখানে  Affirmative এবং Negative Sentence দু’টোর অর্থ কিন্তু একই। কিন্তু এদের রূপান্তর বা Structure ভিন্ন। নিম্নে Transformation এর কিছু Important Examples উত্তর সহ উপস্থাপন করা হল:

1.  Read the following passage and transform the sentences as directed.

(a) Cricket is a very exciting game. (Complex)

(b) People all over the world enjoy this game very much. (Passive)

(c) At present cricket is one of the most popular games in our country. (Comparative)

(d) Though it is a very costly game, young men and children get a great deal of delight playing it.

(Compound)

(e) It is a matter of sorrow that the performance of Bangladesh Cricket Team is not up to the mark.
