13.Direct Speech: The class teacher of class X said to the student, "Do you like to go on a study tour?" "Yes" said all the student to their class teacher. Then he said, "Take the permission from your parents." One of the students said. "Where will we go, sir?" "It will be decided after a discussion" said the teacher.
Indirect Speech: The class teacher of class X asked the students if they liked to go on a study tour. All the students replied in the affirmative to their class teacher. Then the teacher told the students to take permission from their parents. One of the students respectfully wanted to know where they would go. The teacher told that it would be decided after a discussion.
14. Direct Speech: The teacher said to Bakul, "Why are you talking in the class? You should behave Yourself." Bakul said, "Sir, I am sorry, I am asking Ruma to lend me her pen. my pen has run out. "The teacher said, "Be attentive and listen to my lecture."
Indirect :The teacher asked Bakul why she was talking in the class and said that she should behave herselif. Bakul replied respectfully that she was sorry and added that she was asking Ruma to lend her (Bakul) her (Ruma) pen. She also added that her pen had run out. The teacher ordered her to be attentive and listen to his lecture
15. Direct Speech: "Have you ever heard the name- Dinesh Chandra Sen?" Rahim said to karim.
"Yes. He is famous for " MoimonshinghoGitika- a collection of poems by rural poets." Karim.Said.
Indirect Speech: Rahim asked Karim if he had ever heard the name --Danish Chandra Sen. Karim answered affirmatively and added that he is famous for MoimonshighoGitika'_ a collection of poems by rural poets.
16.Direct speech: Once I asked a sweet little girl, 'What is your mother's name?' She replied cleverly, 'I know my mother's name but I won't tell you that.' I said, 'What a clever girl you are!' 'I don't tell my mother's name to anybody whom I don't know.' she spoke with an air of confidence.
Indirect speech: Once I asked a sweet little girl what her mother's name was. She replied cleverly that she knew her mother's name but she would not tell me that. I exclaimed with wonder that she was a very clever girl. With an air of confidence she spoke that she did not tell her mother's name to anybody whom she did not know.
17..Direct Speech: The young man said, " I can't stay any longer. The king had sent me to do a very important work." Friend, tell me what you're important work is, I can also help you. "The man requested.
Indirect :The young man said to the man that he (y) couldn't stay any longer and added that the king had sent him (y) to do a very important work. Addressing the young man as friend, the man requested him (y) to tell him (m) what his important work was and added that he (m) could also help him .
