প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থী বন্ধুরা, তোমাদের সাথে ইংরেজি ‘grammar’এর Passage Narration নিয়ে আলোচনা করছি মনোযোগ দিয়ে অনুশীলন করো।
Direct Speech: "Good morning, "said the tourist, "Do you have any room vacant?" "Yes, sir. Double or single?" " I want one double, "said the tourist. The
Receptionist said." "We have a double room on the second floor."
Indirect : The tourist wished the receptionist good morning and asked if he (R) had any room vacant. The receptionist respectfully replied in the affirmative and asked him (T) whether it was double or single. Then the tourist replied that he (T) wanted one double. The receptionist said that they had a double room on the second floor.
Direct Speech: "My dear friends." said the stranger. I have come hear because I have a message to give you. Lend me your ears please." "Let him say whatever he likes" said the old man. "Oh! What a joy the message has brought for us."
Indirect Speech: The stranger addressed the persons spoken to as his dear friends and said that he had gone there because he had a message to give them. He requested them to lend him their ears. The old man told that he might say whatever he liked. He (old man) exclaimed with joy that the message had brought for them a great joy.
Direct Speech: "Mr. Fox's very clever," the other foxes said, "What's he going to tell us?" Mr. Fox said. "Listen to me, my friends. I've made an important discovery. Do you want to know about it?"
The other foxes said that Mr. Fox was very clever. Then they asked what he (Mr. Fox) was going to tell them (other foxes). Mr. Fox addressed them (other foxes) as his friends and asked them to listen to him (Mr. Fox). He added that he had made an important discovery and asked them if they wanted to know about it.
Direct speech. " Nasica, have you done your English lesson today?" asked the teacher. Yes sir". she replied, " but I haven't understood one grammatical point." Thank you, sir, she smilingly said.
Indirect:The teacher asked Nasica if she had done her English lesson that day. She respectfully replied in the affirmative and also said that she had not understood one grammatical point. Then the teacher assured her saying to go to his room. He also said that he would help her understand the point. Then she smilingly thanked the teacher.
