ইংরেজিতে সহজ পদ্ধতিতে Transformation of Sentences করার নিয়ম

শিক্ষার্থী বন্ধুরা,তোমরা কেমন আছ ? নিশ্চয় ভালো আছ। বিশ্ব এক প্রাণঘাতি ভাইরাসের কারণে দুর্যোগমুহূর্ত পার করছে। তোমাদের নিয়মিত ক্লাস স্থগিত হলেও সংসদ বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশনে নিয়মিত ক্লাস পরিচালনা করা হচ্ছে। এই সময়টাতে ঘরে বসে চর্চা করবে। স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে চলবে। অনুশীলন পাতায় নিয়মিত চোখ রাখবে।আজ আমি তোমাদের সাথে Transformation of Sentences পর্ব ২ সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করব। তাহলে শুরু করা যাক।

গত পর্বে Affirmative to Negative-এ পরিবর্তনের Rule 3 পর্যন্ত আলোচনা করেছিলাম। আজ Rule4 থেকে আলোচনা করব।

Rule 4 :

Both .... and-যুক্ত Affirmative sentence-কে negative করতে হলে উক্ত বাক্যের শুরুতে কখনো মাঝে not only ........ but also ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

Affirmative: Both Hasan and Husain were good friends.

Negative:Not only Hasan but also Husain were good friends.

Rule 5 :

Affirmative sentence-এ কিছু Affirmative শব্দকে Negative রূপে বসিয়ে এবং উক্ত Negative-এর পূর্বে not বসিয়ে Affirmative sentence-কে Negative হয়। বাকি সব ঠিক থাকে।

Affirmative: He is an honest man.

Negative: He is not a dishonest man.

Rule 6 :

Always-যুক্ত Affirmative sentence-কে Negative করতে হলে Always-এর পরিবর্তে never বসে। Affirmative শব্দটির Negative রূপ বসাতে হয়।

Affirmative:Our headmaster was always punctual.

Negative:Our headmaster was never late.

Rule 7 :

Affirmative sentence-এ sometimes থাকলে negative করার সময় sometimes-এর পরিবর্তে always এবং তার পূর্বে no বসে।

Affirmative: My brother sometimes visits me.

Negative:My brother does not always visit me.

Rule 8 :

‘As soon as’-যুক্ত sentence-কে Negative করতে হলে...

‘As soon as’-এর জায়গায় no sooner had বসবে + প্রদত্ত Sentence-এর কর্তা বসে + সে Sentence এর মূল verb-এর past participle form বসে + সে sentence বাকি অংশ বসে + than + দ্বিতীয় বাক্য বসে।

Affirmative: As soon as he saw the police, he ran away.

Negative: No sooner had he seen the police than he ran away.

Rule 9 :

‘As … as’-যুক্ত positive degree-কে Negative করতে হলে...

প্রথম as-এর পরিবর্তে not less শেষ as-এর পরিবর্তে than বসে।

Affirmative:Barno and Sajid were as strong as Tahsin.

Negative:Barno and Sajid were not less strong than Tahsin.

Rule 10 :

‘Less...than’-যুক্ত sentence-কে Negative করতে হলে...

Less-এর জায়গায় not as বসবে এবং than-এর জায়গায় as বসবে।

Affirmative: He is less ugly than you said.

Negative: He is not as ugly as you said.

Rule 11 :

‘Too.....to’-যুক্ত sentence-কে Negative করতে হলে...

Sentence০-এর প্রথম অংশ +Too-এর জায়গায় so বসে + Too-এর পরের adjective/adverb বসে + that বসে + পুনরায় subject বসে + tense অনুযায়ী cannot/could not + প্রদত্ত to-এর পরের অংশ বসে।

Affirmative: He is too weak to walk.

Negative: He is so weak that he cannot walk.

Rule 12 :

Superlative degree-যুক্ত Affirmative sentence-কে Negative করতে হলে...

No other + superlative-এর পরের অংশ + verb + as + superlative degree-এর positive form + as + প্রদত্ত sentence-এর subject.

Affirmative: He is the best player in the team.

Negative: No other player in the team is as good as
