A pronoun is a word that is used in place of noun.
Use of personal pronoun
Rule 1: 1st, 2nd, 3rd person একই sentence এ ব্যবহার করলে 2nd, 3rd, 1st, person বসে।
You, he and I shall go there.
Rule 2: দেশ/দেশের কাজ বুঝালে 1st, 2nd, 3rd বসে।
I, you and he are guilty,
Rule 3: ইতর প্রাণীর পরিবর্তে It বসে।
It has four legs.
Rule 4: কর্তা না থাকলে It বসে।
It has been raining for seven hours.
2. Demonstrative Pronoun: (নির্দেশবাচক সর্বনাম)
যে সকল Pronoun দ্বারা নিকটবর্তী বা দুরবর্তী একাধিক বা এক ব্যক্তি বা বস্ত নির্দেশ করে, তাকে Demonstrative Pronoun বলে।
This is my book.
That is her pen.
Those are costly pens.
3. Interrogative Pronoun: (প্রশ্নবাচক সর্বনাম)
যে Pronoun দ্বারা প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা করতে ব্যবহার হয়, তাকে Interrogative Pronoun বলে।
Use of Interrogative Pronoun
Rule 1: who, whom, whose শুধু মাত্র ব্যক্তির ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহূত হয় এবং নির্দিষ্ট ভাবে বোঝায়।
Who comes here?
Whom do you wants?
Whose pen is this?
Rule 2: what ব্যক্তি, বস্তু, পেশা বোঝাতে what বসে।
What do you want?
What is your name?
What is your father?
Rule 3: ‘who; কে বোঝাতে who বসে।
Who are you?
Who comes here?
Rule 4: which ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রে which বসে।
Which pen do you like?
Which is your father?
4. Indefinite Pronoun: (অনির্দিষ্ট বাচক সর্বনাম)
যে Pronoun দ্বারা ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে অনির্দিষ্ট করে বোঝায়, তাকে Indefinite Pronoun বলে।
None of them was present.
Some say that he is good boy.
Anyone can help me?
5. Distributive pronoun: (বিভক্তবাচক সর্বনাম)
যে pronoun দ্বারা দুই বা ততোধিক বস্তুর একটিকে বা প্রত্যেকটিকে পৃথক পৃথক ভাবে নির্দেশ করে, তাকে Distributive pronoun বলে।
Each, either—- or, Neither—nor.
Each boy and each girl got a prize.
Each of the student has a separate room.
Use of distributive pronoun
Rule 1: Either দু’য়ের মধ্যে যে কোনো একজনকে বোঝাতে Either বসে।
Either of the boys are happy.
Rule 2: Neither দু’য়ের মধ্যে একজনকেও না বোঝাতে Neither বসে।
Neither of the boys are happy.
Rule 3: Each দ্বারা একাধিক ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে আলাদাভাবে বোঝায়।
Each of the boys is present.
6. Relative Pronoun: (সম্বন্ধ বাচক সর্বনাম)
যে Pronoun তার পূর্বে ব্যবহূত noun বা Pronoun কে নির্দেশ করে এবং সেই সাথে দুটি sentence কে যুক্ত করে তাকে Relative Pronoun বলে।
(1) It was flying in the sun.
= I saw a bird which flying in the sun.
(2) I know the man + elected chairman.
= I know the man who was elected chairman.
