7.Summary:
The ability to use language appropriately in different circumstances means communicative competence. The two ways of developing communicative competence in a language are acquisition and learning. Acquisition is a natural subconscious and implicit process in which people can develop ability in their mother tongue. But learning is the explicit process in which people can learn a language consciously. Language specialists believe that acquisition is more successful than learning.
