গ্রামের মানুষ পাখির ডাক শুনে ঘুম থেকে ওঠে বাংলা মো. সুজাউদ দৌলা প্রভাষক(বাংলা) রাজউক উত্তরা মডেল কলেজ, ঢাকা শব্দদূষণ সুকুমার বড়ুয়া প্রশ্ন-২। শহরে ঘুমানোয় অসুবিধা কেন? উত্তর: শহরে ঘুমানোয় অসুবিধা হওয়ার কারণ: শহরের রাস্তায় দ্রুতগতিতে গাড়ি চলে। আর বিকট শব্দে বাঁশি বাজায়। দুপুর বেলা পাতি কাক কা-কা করে কর্কশ কণ্ঠে ডেকে ওঠে। ফলে ঘুমানোয় অসুবিধা হয়। তাছাড়া শহরের আধুনিক বাড়ির দরজায় আছে কলিংবেল। লোকে বাইরে থেকে বেল বাজায়। আর ঘরে আছে সিডি, টিভি, টেলিফোন। টিভিতে অনুষ্ঠান চলে রাত-দিন। টেলিফোন বেজে ওঠে যখন-তখন। শহরের গলিপথে ফেরিওয়ালা ফেরি করে। সে জিনিসপত্র বিক্রির জন্য হাঁক দেয়। খাঁ-খাঁ দুপুরে ফেরিওয়ালার এই বিকট হাঁক-ডাক বিরক্ত লাগে। এসব কারণে শহরে ঘুমানোয় অসুবিধা হয়। প্রশ্ন-৩। কুকুরের ডাক আর পাখির ডাকের মধ্যে কোনটি তোমার ভালো লাগে? কেন? উত্তর: ‘শব্দদূষণ’ কবিতায় কবি নানা পশুপাখির কথা বলেছেন। যার ডাক আমার ভালো লাগে: কুকুরের ডাক ও পাখির ডাকের মধ্যে পাখির ডাকটি আমার ভালো লাগে। আমার ভালো লাগার কারণ: আমার ভালো লাগে পাখিদের ডাক। গাছের ডালে ডালে আর পাতার ফাঁকে বসে পাখিরা কিচিরমিচির করে গান গায়। সে গান শুনে খুবই ভালো লাগে আমার। কিন্তু কুকুরের ঘেউ-ঘেউ ডাক শুনতে ভালো লাগে না। পাখির ডাক সুমধুর। তার মধুর ডাক শুনতে সবার ভালো লাগে। প্রশ্ন-৪। গ্রামের মানুষ কোন পাখির ডাক শুনে ঘুম থেকে ওঠে? উত্তর: গ্রামে মানুষ যে পাখির ডাক শুনে ঘুম থেকে ওঠে: মোরগের ডাক শুনে গ্রামের মানুষের ঘুম ভাঙে। আর সকালের আলো ফুটলে ডেকে ওঠে দোয়েল, ঘুঘু, চড়ুই পাখি। এসব পাখির গান শুনে গ্রামের মানুষ কর্ম-চঞ্চল হয়ে ওঠে। বই :হুমায়ুন আজাদ প্রশ্ন-১। কোন ধরনের বই পড়া উচিত? কেন? উত্তর: ‘বই’ কবিতায় কবি হুমায়ুন আজাদ বই পড়ার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেছেন। যে ধরনের বই পড়া উচিত: যে বই আমাদের মানবিক গুণসম্পন্ন করে তোলে, যে বই আলোকিত করে, স্বপ্ন দেখায়, আমাদের মাঝে শুভ-চিন্তা জাগায়, আমাদের মনকে সুন্দর করে, সে ধরনের বই পড়া উচিত। কারণ: বই আমাদের জ্ঞান দেয়। আমাদের মনে শুভ-চিন্তা জাগিয়ে তোলে। ভালো ও মন্দের বিচার করতে শেখায়। আমাদের স্বপ্ন দেখায়। আমাদের ভালো মানুষ হওয়ার পথ দেখায়। এ কারণে মানবিক গুণসম্পন্ন মানুষ হতে হলে আমাদের শুভ-চিন্তার বইগুলো পড়তে হবে। বইয়ের পাতায় পাতায় জ্ঞান ছড়িয়ে থাকে। তাই আমরা প্রকৃত মানুষ হতে ভালো বই পড়ব। প্রশ্ন-২। কোন বই পড়া উচিত নয়? কেন পড়া উচিত নয়? উত্তর: হুমায়ুন আজাদ ‘বই’ কবিতায় জ্ঞানের কথা বলেছেন। মানুষকে জ্ঞান অর্জন করতে বই পড়তে হবে। তবে সব বই তা পারে না। যে বই পড়া উচিত নয়: যে বই আমাদের মনকে ক্ষুদ্র করে, স্বার্থপর করে, মনে হিংসা জাগায়, আমাদেরকে অন্ধকারের গর্তে ঠেলে দেয় সে বই আমাদের পড়া উচিত নয়। কারণ: বই মানুষকে মানবিক করবে, আলোকিত করবে। ভালো-মন্দের বিচার করতে শেখাবে। এটাই বইয়ের ধর্ম। কিন্তু তা না করে কোনো বই যদি আমাদের স্বার্থপর করে তোলে, মনকে করে তোলে হিংসায় ভরপুর, প্রকৃত মানুষ হয়ে ওঠার পথে বাধা হয়ে দাঁড়ায় তবে সে বই আমাদের পড়া উচিত নয়। বই আমাদের আলোকিত করে। কিন্তু কোনো বই এ কাজ না করে যদি আমাদের স্বার্থপর করে, তবে সে বই পড়া উচিত নয়। The doctor says that she has got the flu ইংরেজি এস. এম. মুরাদ হোসেন সিনিয়র শিক্ষক, ইংরেজি বিভাগ বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ নূর মোহাম্মদ পাবলিক কলেজ, ঢাকা Seen Comprehension Practice (Lesson # 8) Read the text and answer the questions.
