ভালো মানসম্মত বিদ্যালয়ের অভাব এখনো রয়েছে । পছন্দমত বিদ্যালয়ে সন্তানকে ভর্তি করানো প্রতি বছর মা-বাবার দুঃচিন্তার অন্যতম কারণ। কোনো কোনো স্কুলে ভর্তি হতে হয় লটারির মাধ্যমে আবার কোনো কোনো স্কুলে ভর্তি হতে হয় ভর্তি পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হয়ে। ভর্তি পরীক্ষা এক অন্যরকম প্রতিযোগিতা। অনেক মা-বাবাই ভালো স্কুলে ভর্তি করানোর জন্য মনে করেন বেশি বেশি পড়াতে ও কোচিং করাতে হবে। আসলে বেশি বেশি পড়ালে ও কোচিং করালে ভালো ফল পাওয়া যায় না। ভালোফল পেতে সঠিক উপায়ে পড়াতে হবে। শুধু মুখস্থ নয়, বুঝে পড়তে হবে। বুঝে পড়লে মনে থাকবে কিন্তু না বুঝে পড়লে তাড়াতাড়ি ভুলে যাবে এবং পড়ালেখা কঠিন মনে হবে। আনন্দের সহিত পড়লে ধীরে ধীরে পড়ার আগ্রহ বাড়বে। কখনো উত্সাহ হারাবে না। পড়াতে হবে বুঝিয়ে অল্প অল্প করে । একই পড়া বারবার পড়াতে হবে যেন মনে গেঁথে যায়। আজ ইংরেজি বিষয় নিয়ে একটু আলোচনা করছি।
