Word বা শব্দ বাক্যের প্রধান উপাদান। তাই স্বল্প সময়ে শব্দভাণ্ডারকে অনেক শক্তিশালী করার জন্য দরকার Short cut কৌশল অবলম্বন। তোমাদের শব্দভাণ্ডারকে সমৃদ্ধ করার জন্য Word Builder নামে একটি কলাম খোলা হলো অনুশীলন পাতার ইংরেজি school বিভাগে । পর্যায়ক্রমে, স্বল্প সময়ে, অসংখ্য শব্দ কিভাবে তৈরি ও রপ্ত করা যায় তার কৌশল নিয়ে লেখাটি তৈরি করেছেন রাজউক উত্তরা মডেল কলেজের প্রভাষক এম জিয়াউর রহমান
বাংলা শব্দের শেষে ‘ত’ যুক্ত থাকলে ঐ শব্দকে ইংরেজিতে রূপান্তরের সময় ঐ শব্দের Past participle ব্যবহার করতে হয়। যেমন:

১. পরিবর্তিত changed
Try to adjust with the changed situation. (পরিবর্তিত পরিস্থিতি)
২. শিক্ষিত Educated
Educated men are the light of the society.
এক্ষেত্রে, well– taught/well-read/ well-learned/ well-informed এসব word ও ব্যবহার করা যায়।
৩. কৃত done
Done work was not good. (কৃত কাজটি)
৪. গৃহিত Adopted
The adopted (পালিত সন্তান) child was brought up well.
৫. গুপ্ত Hidden
The hidden talents of the students should be discovered.
৬. প্রতিষ্ঠিত Established
The established people are liked by all.
৭. প্রদত্ত Given
The given things should not be taken back.
৮. পতিত Fallen
We must not cry over the fallen things.
৯. বর্ধিত Expanded
Do not write such an expanded summary of the story.
