Right form of Verb
সুপ্রিয় শিক্ষার্থীরা, শুভেচ্ছা নিও। Right form of Verb English Grammar এর একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Item যা মনোযোগ সহকারে অধ্যয়ন করা প্রয়োজন । তাই আজ আমরা অষ্টম শ্রেণির English Second Paper থেকে Right form of Verb এর ব্যবহারের নিয়ম আলোচনা করবো এবং আলোচনা শেষে তোমাদের জন্য থাকছে Worksheet. চলো শুরু করা যাক।
Rule-1: Subject third person এবং singular হলে Present Indefinite Tense এ verb এর সাথে ং/বং যোগ করতে হবে। যেমনঃ
(i) Tamzid————— (play) computer games.
Answer: Tamzid plays computer games.
(ii) He —————- (learn) seriously to succeed in life.
Answer: He learns seriously to succeed in life.
Rule-2: Universal truth (চিরন্তন সত্য) এবং, habitual fact (অভ্যাসগত সত্য) এবং scientific truth (বৈজ্ঞানিক সত্য) ইত্যাদি বুঝালে Present Indefinite Tense এর নিয়ম অনুসারে verb বসে। যেমনঃ
The sun ————- (rise) in the east.
Answer: The sun rises in the east.
The earth ———- (move) round the sun.
Answer: The earth moves round the sun.
Rule-3: কোন সময়ের উল্লেখ না থেকে যদি কোন sentence-এ always, regularly, sometimes, often, generally, daily, everyday, occasionally, usually, normally, ইত্যাদি থাকে তাহলে Present Indefinite Tense এর নিয়ম অনুসারে verb বসে। যেমনঃ
(i) He always ——— (learn) his lesson attentively.
Answer: He always learns his lesson attentively.
(ii) When Mr. Jahurul Islam ———- (take) his meal normally?
Answer: When does Mr. Jahurul Islam take his meal normally?
Tahsin never ———- (disturb) the class.
Answer: Tahsin never disturbs the class.
Rule-4: Be verb বিহীন Affirmative Sentence কে Negative বা Interrogative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করতে হলে Tense ও Subject অনুসারে do/does বা did বসে। যেমনঃ
The boy not ———- (play) in the sun.
Answer: The boy does not play in the sun.
Your brother —————— (come) home last night?
Answer: Did your brother come home last night?
Rule-5: Interrogative Sentenceএ যদি what when, where, who, which, whose, why, থাকে তাহলে subject পূর্বে Tense ও person অনুযায়ী to be verb বসে। যেমনঃ
When Mr. Rajkumar Ghosh ——————- (return) home yesterday?
Answer: When did Mr. Rajkumar Ghosh return home yesterday?
What you ———- (want), Mehnaj?
Answer: What do you want, Mehnaj?
Rule-6: বর্তমানে চলছে এমন কোন কাজ বুঝাতে Verbএর Present Continuous Tense হয়। এক্ষেত্রে বর্তমান সময়ের (যেমন now, at this moment, at present ইত্যাদি) উল্লেখ থাকে। যেমনঃ
He ————- (write) an email now.
Answer: He is writing an email now.
They —— (watch) television at this moment.
Answer: They are watching television at this moment.
Rule-7: কোন এ যদি have, has, had থাকে তাহলে verbএর Past Participle form বসে। যেমনঃ
He has ————- (complete) the task.
Answer: He has completed the task.
The students of class seven have———- (make) Farhan captain.
Answer: The students of class seven have made Farhan captain.
Rule-8: Just, just now, already, yet, lately, recently, ever ইত্যাদি থাকলে Present Perfect Tense বসে। যেমনঃ
Recently Rifa ———— (visit) Kolkata.
Answer: Rifa has visited Kolkata recently. Have you ever ————- (be) to Cox’s Bazar?
Answer: Have you ever been to Cox’s Bazar?
I not ————- (decided) yet to go to Japan.
Answer: I have not decided yet to go to Japan. পরবর্তী অংশ আগামীকাল
